Heating & Cooling Issue/Inspection

• Customer complaint of no heat

• Checked all safety devices

• Ran system 

• System would not start

• Check diagnostic code and unit was blinking three which is a pressure switch stuck open 

• Cleared and tested pressure switch and unit fired up

• Tested from thermostat and unit is working

• Recommend replacing pressure switch due to possible future failure.

• Recommending sign up for RSA maintenance program.

• Also talk to homeowners about ductwork issues. Returns are way too small for size of unit and the 12in duct is collapsed.

• AC Tune up

• Temp split: 20 degrees.

• OEM Blower motor amps ( 7.36 / 8.1 ).

• Blower capacitor 20uf +- 5% ( 18.76 ) lowest is 19**.

• Blower motor hot to the touch.

• No oil on blower motor. Tightened low volt wires on board.

• Cleaned blower cabinet.

• Inspected evaporator coil.

• Flushed drain line.

• RLA ( 13.29 / 19.9 ).

• FLA ( .64 / 1.5 ).

• LRA ( 119.4 / 109 ).

• Dual run capacitor 45 + 5uf +- 5% ( 34.8 ) ( 4.66 ) lowest is 42.75 / 4.75***.

• Contactor is good.

• Some oil on condenser fan motor.

• Cleaned inside / outside of system.

• Condenser coil was super dirty.

• Cleaned condenser coil.

• Replaced 2 disposable filters.

• Unit is operating at this time.
